New to this movement
« on: February 01, 2007, 01:39:42 PM »

Hello,

I came across this movement today after a friend sent me an interesting story about swedish people and the Slow Food.

Does the movement have presence in India?

Regards,

Aditya Gadgil

Aditya

The slow movement is quite active in India.  It appears to be informal and organised groups are difficult to find, but it is there.  We receive many emails from India in support of the movement.

A good way to find slow movement people is to contact slow food groups and go from there. Many people in slow food groups adhere to the broader ethos of the slow movement.  If you go to www.slowfood.com and click on "Where we are" you should be able to find someone.

Alternatively you could organise meetings and advertise them in local places and newspapers. Keep checking this forum too.  Someone from Bangalore might reply to your post.

Best wishes
