Hi all, I've noticed the number of members going up a lot in the last week or so but no new posts. Is there anyone from Australia out there, particularly Melbourne? If so drop me a line, I need to know there are "others" out there. Kaye

Hi Kaye I am just wondering how I get a reply. I live in Darwin and have just discovered the Slow Movement - initially through a friend being involved in Slow Food. I am rediscovering the simpler things through being forced to stay at home because of illness - no more mad rushes to PT work (at our local uni) and no more thesis writing. Advantages - lots of wonderful reading of novels, biographies, autobiographies, magazines and newspapers, slower cooking, more time for my teenage sons (esprcially one who is doing Year 12 and hopes to do medicine), a lot of time witho our lovely dog (a blue-heeler), dreaming of Slow Travel when I am better. Still don't see more of my husband as he is a work-aholic. Cheers, Kate
